When the night is falling in Essen-Stoppenberg Europe's once largest coking plant turned into a magical location. The fine illumination by the British light artists Speirs & Major is responsible for that changing.
The gigantic row of coke oven batteries is shining in a mystical reddish light as a kind of glowing industrial sun. The best views are from the blue illuminated road. Enjoy that special atmosphere on a guided night tour right through this former forbidden site.
